The WereCleaner
3D Isometric Stealth-Cleaning Game
The WereCleaner was developed as a capstone student project in the USC Games program.
The development cycle of the game took place over twelve months.
Team Size: ~35
Engine: Unity
My Role: Narrative Lead
Wrote and revised the overarching narrative of the game, character motivations, dialogue segments, collectible descriptions, narrative UI, etc.
Collaborated with the design team to workshop how we wanted to convey the narrative, including collectibles, level select narrative, and tutorialization. One of the biggest conversations was developing our polished clock-in system, which allows the player to have a short skippable dialogue segment in the office space before starting each level.
Worked closely with the art team to storyboard our four cutscenes. Once production began on the cutscenes, I was one of the leads responsible for reviewing cutscene progress at each sprint & catching any oversights/mistakes.
Reviewed playtest data with usability lead, revising how some of our narrative elements interacted with the player in order to ensure clear & concise storytelling.
Directed voice talent alongside the creative director to bring out energetic performances.
